First off - we're very pleased to announce that Bob Birch has decided to return to the Profane Saints on the bass guitar helm...a f ew gigs here and there will have to be rescheduled, but we are very happy to have Bob back.

More gigs! June 11 - Harrisburg at the fabulous Phoenix Lounge...that's right- we've rescheduled and will be in Harrisburg on June 11! Hope to see our new and true South Dakota fans there! ALSO- we're happy to announce that we will be performing at Awesome Biker Nights on June 19 on the Center Stage at 8pm in Downtown Sioux City. Mat will then open for the great Filter Kings from Omaha on June 26 at the Chesterfield...(The Saints were originally lined up to headline the show but scheduling would not permit us to play the show as a full band) Big thanks to the Filter Kings for being able to take over the date.

Bassist Bill Harstad has taken leave of the Profane Saints. We wish Bill the very best in his personal and musical future. He will be missed.

Sold the last copies of "Gasoline Rattle" on hand last week in Sioux Falls. The digital album will remain on sale at CD Baby.com, iTunes and a slew of other digital music stores online. This fan favorite has long stood as Mat's best selling album and was awarded Folk Rising's album of the year 2007. To everyone who picked up a copy...Thanks. More music to come.

Thanks to everyone in the crowd at the Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers show on 11/18/09. Kurt and I had a blast kicking off the night with songs from "Gasoline Rattle" and "Merciful 66" I'll be performing this Friday at the Sioux City Live Music Club with T Wilson King and Mike Langley as a part of the Living Room Sessions concert series which focus is on singer-songwriters. The show begins at 9pm at the club with a $5 dollar cover at the door.

New lyrics have been added to the lyrics section of our website!  Check them out when you're able.

"Dirt Town City Limits" has been reviewed on the No Depression.com blog, Hickory Wind.org and Blues Bunny.com- so far the reviews have been stellar!  Thanks so much to Mark, Jim and Matt for taking the time to listen and write such wonderful reviews.

Mat and Molly D are expecting their new son in November.  Egan Daniel should come into the world around November 19.  Mat will be taking a few months off to spend time with his family.  Look for him to return to the stahe sometime in February 2010.  He'll be working with the band on new material and completing another solo album with Kurt Mullins titled "Plank Road Drag"

Possible small tours and out of town dates TBA in 2010.  Stay tuned- and thank you all for your generous comments, support and friendship.

Our Sioux Falls CD Release Date has been changed from Friday September 25 to Friday August 28th.  Sioux City's own trio extraordinaire MOUNT SUZUKI will be on hand along with one other TBA.  The show begins at 10:30pm...doors open at 10.

by mail order and are being offered until July 15. $10 gets you a copy of "Dirt Town City Limits" signed by all members of the band and shipped at no cost to you. This special pricing will only be available for those that wish to guarantee their copy in advance as the CD will be sold at regular price online and at our live performances. All orders will ship no later than July 15 via US Mail. Pre-Sale is also available for those who are planning on attending our July 17th Album Release show and you will be able to pick-up your album at the show, or we can mail it to you if you desire.

Just wanted to update our friends and fans with the Profane Saints' Summer 2009 concert schedule. Can't wait to see all of our old friends, new friends and new fans on the road this year! We're calling it "Roadside Revival 2009!!!' with a few solo dates thrown in.

May 30 - 2nd Annual Dry Creek Music Festival Hawarden, IA
We hit the stage at 6pm. This is a free, all ages outdoor festival located
in Hawarden city park at the pavillion. Music starts at 3pm and the fest wraps up at 11pm.

June 13 - Mat d. solo at Black Sheep Coffee - Sioux Falls, SD
Mat returns to Sioux Falls' own Black Sheep Coffee. He will showcase new music and staples from "Gasoline Rattle" and "Merciful 66" $2 suggested donation. All ages.

June 26 - Yankton South Dakota
Boomstick Productions presents Mat d and the Profane Saints at the Moose Lodge- $6 at the door, opening act(s) to be announced. This an all ages show and we look forward to meeting all of our new friends in Yankton!

July 11 - The Great Aberdeen Pig Out - Aberdeen South Dakota
This two day food and music festival draws 12,000 people annualy. Mat d. and the Profane Saints perform at 4:30pm on the North Stage. All ages and FREE!

July 17 - Sioux City Live Music Club - ALBUM RELEASE Sioux City IA
Two years in the making- we release our brand new album "Dirt Town City Limits" at the Sioux City Live Music Club. Tickets $5 in advance, $8 at the door. Opening act TBA. 21+

August 7 - Mat d solo at Meet Virginia Sioux City IA
